TechExcel products are very easy to install, configure and maintain. With minimal training you and your team have the power to install and configure any TechExcel solution.

However, you may still require professional consulting services from TechExcel for the following reasons:

  • You want to deploy our solution quickly and efficiently with minimum effort from your own team.
  • To train your team while deploying the solution, you want the installation, configuration, and training services at your site.
  • To get the most out of your investment in our solution, you want a service engineer onsite during implementation to identify additional configuration and installation issues and help you to take advantage of the powerful features in our products.

Installation and Configuration

A TechExcel experienced service engineer will work with you to install and configure your TechExcel solution. From business analysis to workflow design, GUI customization to advanced feature setup, a TechExcel service engineer will work with you shoulder-to-shoulder to optimize your business processes and ensure a smooth rollout of your TechExcel solution.

Service items include assistance with the following tasks:

  • Installing the product on server(s) and one client machine, and presenting guidelines on how to install on other client machines.
  • Analyzing business needs.
  • Designing a workflow.
  • Customizing the GUI, including designing custom pages.
  • Defining master-detail relationships between fields.
  • Organizing the team (create account types, teams and folders, assign privileges).
  • Setting up email services (email notification, email submission, etc.).
  • Creating templates (event templates, service templates, sales templates, etc.).
  • Setting up TechExcel Web solutions for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Configuring other Admin settings.
  • Basic training for both end users and administrators, if time permits.

Service Charge Description
Data migration $2000/day TechExcel can help you prepare and export your legacy data for migration into TechExcel products. This service may involve some programming work such as database scripting to export the data from your legacy system.
Remote product upgrade $800/day, or $200/hour A TechExcel service engineer can help you upgrade TechExcel products remotely.
On-site integration service $2000/day TechExcel can help you integrate TechExcel products with other applications using TechExcel’s LinkPlus or other technologies.
Custom Crystal Report $2000/report TechExcel can help to create custom Crystal reports. The custom report should not require any code change in the existing products; otherwise additional custom programming charges will be applied.
P4 integration configuration $1000/Server TechExcel can help DevTrack/Perforce Integration customers to design the P4 jobspec, the field mapping, sync rules, etc.
Custom development $200/hour – in house TechExcel provides custom development and consulting services. This service can be related to TechExcel products or to any specific programming and consulting needs.
