Technical Support Engineer

We currently have an opening for a Technical Support Engineer to join our Lafayette office.

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing world-class support to existing and prospective TechExcel customers. The Technical Support Engineer responds to customer inquiries via phone, email and web, diagnoses and analyzes problems, and provides solutions to customers.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide telephone-based and electronic (email/web-based) technical support for TechExcel Products.
  • Create and contribute to the development and maintenance of TechExcel documentation.
  • Write SQL scripts to resolve database related problems.
  • Provide Pre/Post Sales support to TechExcel Sales Team and Customers.
  • Represent TechExcel to customers in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills (with at least 1 year support experience).
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management theory and practice.
  • Experience in Windows operating systems and managing web sites on Microsoft server platforms.
  • Programming and SQL experience a plus.
  • Quick learner and team player.
  • Technical writing skills a plus.

Account Manager

We currently have an opening for an Account Manager to join our Lafayette office.

The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and closing all sales within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include presenting technical product demonstrations of company’s software solutions, working closely with prospects and customers to identify opportunities while managing a 2-4 month sales cycle.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Reaching out to “warm” leads, as produced through TechExcel’s marking and business development efforts.
  • Cultivating own customer leads (ie, web searches, networking, phone efforts) to establish a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Managing existing customer accounts in a specified territory and offering new products to help enhance customers’ business processes.
  • Conducting product presentations to current and prospective customers.
  • Meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years sales experience with enterprise business software, preferably within software development tools, HelpDesk, or CRM market.
  • Experience selling software products to IT departments.
  • Excellent technical abilities and technical aptitude.
  • Experience conducting demos and presentations on software solutions.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quota.
  • Independent, proactive and self-starter.

QA Engineer

We currently have an opening for a QA Engineer to join our Lafayette office.

This is a great opportunity for someone to show off their passion for software and their solid testing skills. As a TechExcel QA Engineer, the right candidate will join the QA Team to debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for the company’s products.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and executing software test plans and test cases.
  • Using regression testing, automation testing tools and stress testing tools to ensure the highest of product quality.
  • Partnering with the Development and Support Teams to resolve escalated customer issues.
  • Assisting with the ongoing development of a world-class QA Team. Providing feedback on topics such as best practices, team involvement and management structure, etc.

Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Computer Science or related field

Job Description: We have an opening for a Professional Services Engineer to join our Chapel Hill office. As a Professional Services Engineer, prospective and existing customers will look to you to be a technical expert on best practices for their implementation, upgrades, special projects and daily use of TechExcel’s software. You will serve as their guide throughout the process, helping the world’s top companies to efficiently deploy and use TechExcel’s solutions.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform onsite consulting services, conduct training classes, and listen to pre- and post-sales customers to understand their needs, identify new requirements for products, and participate in the resolution of escalated customer issues.
  • Train and support TechExcel’s sales team to ensure up to date knowledge of product offerings.
  • Provide telephone-based and electronic (email/web-based) technical support for all TechExcel products. Write SQL scripts to resolve database related problems.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of TechExcel’s internal knowledge sharing Knowledge Base.
  • Develop competitive analysis, identify industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Information System, Computer Science or a related field.
