- DevTrack implements process control through an Open Workflow Lifecycle.
- Each status has its own set of attributes: team members who can own (or are accountable) for the resolution of the issue in its current state, attributes of the issue which must have data for work to continue, and actions that a user can perform to move the issue to another status.
- By linking each status, users can form a process map that illustrates their preferred development practices.
- In addition to defining one workflow, the enterprise edition of DevTrack allows teams to define multiple workflows based on an issue type.
- Auto-routing: Allows issues to be assigned to the best resource based on the attributes of the issue. For example, if an issue occurs in a particular module of the code, DevTrack can automatically assign the issue to the owner of the module.
- Auto-escalation: Administrators can define a time frame for certain types of issues to be resolved or windows in which work must start. If these configurable time frames are not met, alerts can be sent to the issue owner or any other team member.
- Rule-based email notification: An unlimited number of conditions or rules for when an email should be sent to developers lets team members know data they need while cutting down on unwanted emails.
- Developers can choose to subscribe to notifications for issues, giving them control over what updates or information is automatically emailed to them.
